Canang Workshop at Nyambu Village
90 mins from Airport

Each member village within JED appoints representatives who participate in collective discussions and organizational decision-making. These representatives carry the perspectives, aspirations, and interests of their communities, ensuring that JED remains grounded in the realities and needs of village members

The Supervisory Board oversees the work and direction of JED’s organizational management. Through guidance, evaluation, and monitoring, the board helps ensure that the organization remains accountable to its values, missions, and member communities.
The Board of Trustees consists of chairperson, secretary and treasurer who are responsible for guiding the organization strategically and administratively. The board helps coordinate organizational priorities, strengthen institutional development, and support the continuity of JED’s partnerships. The board works closely with both member communities and the executive team.
The executive management team is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day implementation of JED’s programs, partnerships, communications, and operational activities. They work alongside member villages, partners, communities to facilitate programs, strengthen collaborations, and support the ongoing development of community-based ecotourism initiatives across the network.
Alongside the member villages of Jaringan Ekowisata Desa, JED’s journey has also been supported by partners, travel collaborators, and researchers who share a commitment to community-based and responsible tourism. Many of these reflections, research works, and cultural documentation can also be explored through our publication page.

The people behind Jaringan Ekowisata Desa contribute in many ways — from documenting local knowledge and cultural practices to sharing stories, reflections, and perspectives from within their communities. Explore writings, research, and knowledge products created alongside and by JED communities through our publication portal.
