Nusa Penida Island

Celebrating life in the Magical Island

Nusa Penida is an island with hard and dry karst hills. It is surrounded by a strong current ocean, makes the people of Nusa Penida celebrate their life with unique traditions and culture.

Even though the water resources are in steep terrain, it doesn’t reduce the community’s gratitude to worship the water. The barren land does not reduce their creativity in farming. Not only to get food, but even planting to create beautiful colors of woven clothes. Not only on land, but the oceans also become “ricefields” for seaweed, which can support families from generation to generation.

Nature for them is an inspiration. People who must adapt to it, not the opposite. JED will invite you to have an adventure in Nusa Penida, to celebrate the charm of nature and the magical culture that lives on it.
